Do 320TB w sprzętowym RAID poprzez port Thunderbolt. Z Mac Studio idealna para!
Apple computers, especially Mac Studio together with Studio Display, are equipment for demanding professionals working in video editing. Often, for comfortable work, it is necessary and essential to add external fast and large storage. The newly released Netstor NS780TB3 enclosure is designed to support the same fastest data transmission port with identical transfer speed as in Mac Studio, namely Thunderbolt™ 4.
Netstor NS780TB3 is a 16-bay enclosure enabling connection of up to 320TB of fast storage to a computer equipped with a Thunderbolt port. Netstor Desktop NS780TB3 is designed to maintain the highest full performance of up to 2940 MB per second, which is twice the bandwidth compared to Thunderbolt™ 2 and eight times the performance of USB 3.
Thanks to the free PCIe card slot, the Netstor NS780TB3 enclosure can be equipped with a fast hardware RAID controller. The enclosure is compatible with Apple Mac computers – including those based on Apple Silicon processors (such as the M1 and M2 series) as well as Windows computers equipped with a Thunderbolt port.

This desktop-type Netstor NS780TB3 enclosure, which allows installation of up to sixteen (16) 3.5-inch SAS or SATA hard drives of any capacity, is capable of expanding Apple Mac Studio storage up to 320TB. Video editors and digital content creators can also use multiple Thunderbolt™ 4 ports on Mac Studio to connect multiple NS780TB3 storage units, so external storage starts from sixteen (16) bays per unit multiplied by the number of connected units when storage demand increases.
Netstor understands that video editors are generally sensitive to noise in their working environment. Therefore, the DAS enclosure is equipped with two large 12 × 12 cm cooling fans located on both the front and rear panels – a total of four large cooling fans in the device. Combined with the enclosure’s best airflow design, the warm air generated by hard drives during operation can be smoothly expelled from the chassis at the lowest fan speed setting. This allows digital content creators to fully focus on video production processes without disturbance from unnecessary noise during content creation.

We recommend the ARECA RAC-1883ix-16 RAID controller for this setup.
This card features advanced technology providing increased performance and better data protection. It is designed based on a dual-core 1.2 GHz ROC processor with DDR3-1866 memory architecture and PCIe 3.0 connectivity for the most demanding users.
