xiRAID has been optimized to work with NVMe® storage devices, enabling the use of up to 97% of the hardware capabilities of modern and fast NVMe drives. These results are made possible by high I/O parallelism and a block-free data path.

Internal testing has shown that xiRAID is capable of providing sufficient performance to process up to 8 streams of uncompressed 4K video at 60 frames per second.

Tests were performed using the TestIO tool (part of the Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve suite) and frametest tool.
