LMP 28217 drive bay is a rugged USB4, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 enclosure made of durable aluminum. It is compatible with various PCIE NVMe SSD sizes (22 x 30mm, 22 x 42mm, 22 x 60mm, 22 x 80mm). It supports both SSD M key and B & M key drives. The metal housing combined with a silicon heatsink ensures efficient heat dissipation without the need for a fan. With its USB-C interface, it provides high transfer speeds, supporting a theoretical maximum of 40 Gbps 3,500 MB/s.

The LMP 28217 enclosure was tested with us, achieving transfers in excess of 3,400 MB/s in combination with a 4TB ED Black SN850X drive. We performed the tests in conjunction with an Apple Mac mini M4 Pro.
